VINCENT LAGILLE

Master of Treslon

As you approach the sleepy village of Treslon, atop the hill of the village, is the home of Vincent. A farm first, a home second. Working dogs in kennels, chicken pecking at your feet, game meat ready for the evenings meal hung on the fork lift. A true farmer and artisan’s dream. The family have been in Treslon since the 17th century and Vincent is the latest to tend to the land in the village. A humble and shy soul who’s wines are anything but. His style is direct, a direct reflection of his different plots and varieties in the village he is so proud of. Frustrated by neighbouring winemakers who don’t respect the soil of Treslon like him, his ambition is to truly nurture the whole of his village, which also includes his crops. And what a start he has made!

His initial releases, characterised by single varietal, single vintage, and single parcels, showcase grapes that are meticulously tended to, resulting in wines that are as ripe and exquisite as the land itself. Vincent Lagille is redefining Treslon’s winemaking, one vintage at a time, and boy are we here for the ride! Get on board.
